Been in the Game the Longest: What 10+ Years of HPA Adapters Taught Us
Share
Tapp has been building airsoft gear since 2014, and HPA gear since 2015. More than a decade later, that head start shows up in every adapter we ship.
A decade of firsts
We started with the Tapp Trigger in 2014, then released the Tappazine in 2015, the first high-capacity HPA magazine on the market. The Tapp Drum, the HPA M4 Adapter and our patented Shell Adapter followed, and today the TAPP HYBRID lineup takes it further. Every one of those built on lessons from the last.
What experience gets you
Fit that's already figured out
We've built more than 2,000 unique designs across 150+ platforms. Along the way we learned which guns look alike but aren't, like MWS and CGS M4s, the VFC, KWA and TM MP7s, and different AK versions, and we design for each one separately.
Designs refined over years
Our early adapters were modular: a modified gas mag paired with swappable lowers. Today's are one-piece, SLS-printed designs with a single-stack BB path and no joint between the gas section and the magazine adapter, which means fewer O-rings and a better air seal. Features like the adjustable plunger and multiple gasket heights exist because no two guns are quite the same.
Answers instead of guesswork
Our Troubleshooting guide covers the feeding, leak and fitment issues we see most, and lifetime support covers the rest.
Parts when you need them
Replacement feedlips and gaskets are available for our HPA platforms, and feedlip STL files are on our Thingiverse page if you'd rather print your own. Hybrid lowers come with access to replacement parts too.
Built by players
Tapp is a team as well as a company. We play, we sponsor teams and players, and we run our own gear.
