Tapp vs. Other HPA Adapters: What to Compare Before You Buy

Every HPA adapter promises the same basic thing: run your GBB on air and feed it from AEG mags. The differences show up later, in how well it fits your gun, how easily you can tune it, which mags it takes, and who's there when you need a part. Here's how Tapp stacks up.

Tuning: one size doesn't fit every gun

Two GBBs of the same model can come off the line with different tolerances. An adapter built around one fixed spec runs great in some guns and struggles in others. Tapp gives you two ways to dial it in:

  • Adjustable plunger. Set how far the valve opens when the hammer strikes, so your gun gets the air it needs to cycle without wasting it.
  • Multiple gasket heights. Pick the gasket that seals tightly against your gun's nozzle without dragging on the bolt.

Fit: every adapter is platform-specific

We design each adapter for its own gun's mag well and release, across 150+ platforms. Some models look alike but aren't: MWS and CGS M4s, the VFC, KWA and TM MP7s, and different AK versions are common mix-ups. Not sure which you have? Message us before you order.

Options: one ecosystem, five mag styles

Most platforms come in M4, MP5, ARP9, Shotgun Shell and Ambi Angled M4 versions, plus drums from 400 to 2,000 rounds. Pick the mag style that matches the rest of your loadout.

Out of the box: ready to run

Our standard adapters arrive fully assembled and pressure-tested. Insert it, connect air and play.

Experience: since 2014

We released our first product in 2014 and the first high-capacity HPA magazine on the market in 2015. Since then we've shipped more than 20,000 units, patented our Shell Adapter and built a full hybrid lower lineup. That's a lot of guns, a lot of tolerances and a lot of lessons built into every design.
