The TAPP HYBRID AAP-01 HPA Airsoft Pistol is a revolutionary upgrade for the Action Army AAP-01, combining the ease of High Pressure Air (HPA) and the reliability of AEG MP5 or ARP9 magazines with the exhilarating recoil of a Gas Blow Back (GBB) platform. This fully assembled HPA pistol replaces the entire grip/frame, giving you the functionality of AEG magazines in one of the most popular and customizable gas blowback pistols in the world.

 

Note: MP5 and ARP9 magazine options do not include a bolt catch feature.

 

Designed and built in the USA, this pistol is 3D-printed in advanced Nylon PA11 Carbon Fiber, a high-performance material that delivers superior strength, improved impact resistance, reduced flex, and long-term durability compared to standard polymers. It is built for aggressive gameplay and sustained reliability in high-demand scenarios.

    • AEG MP5 or ARP9 Magazine Compatibility: Use high-capacity AEG mags for extended shooting time (no bolt catch feature). Not compatible with CYMA Platinum MP5 mags.

 

    • HPA Powered: Tuned for up to 150 PSI (recommended 120 PSI) to deliver stable pressure and consistent performance while preserving the authentic blowback feel. (HPA kit available separately at tappairsoft.com/hpa.)

 

    • Reinforced Internal Design: Built to absorb the AAP-01’s powerful blowback and fast cycling without flex or fatigue.

 

    • Clean Air Line Routing: HPA line exits cleanly through the bottom of the grip for a compact, snag-free setup—ideal for dynamic movement.

 

    • Advanced Nylon PA11 Carbon Fiber Frame: 3D-printed construction provides increased rigidity and heat resistance for demanding environments and competitive play, translating to better performance and longer service life.
