4 Stars overall because I did have some issues with my TAPP system parts. I will share my experience on the field with it
I tested the mag at home before leaving my house with a few shots. It was operational when I hit the chrono. The site does not tell you, but the valve that it comes with will most likely increase your feet per second slightly. Possibly +20 FPS. During the first game it starts dry firing every other shot. I removed the magazine, and the feeding lip was already broken. It came with a spare, so I replaced it. After using it for several shots it started kind of spurting and losing all power after one or two shots. This did not make sense since it was full of gas. I tapped on the valve emergency latch (where the “firing pin” strikes the mag) to test the valve and it got stuck WIDE OPEN! Luckily no one got hurt. I had to buy the tool to remove the valve and oil to lube the O ring inside. I got the tool before I got the new parts from TAPP so I reworked the valve and re-installed it. I had the same issues, so I got a very crappy valve somehow right out of the box.
The NEW valve that TAPP sent looked slightly different. The portion where the firing pin strikes is different. The inside parts look the same. I have oiled and installed this new valve and fired about 100 BBs through it perfectly. I am probably jumping the gun, but the issues seemed to be resolved, and it works as intended. Be prepared to learn to work on this unit. Eventually it will need maintenance anyway, just like your other gas magazines. The silver lining is that I will need these tools and oil eventually anyway. Overall, thank you! I am looking forward to the next game with my 400 BB’s!
